Director

Maryna Vroda

Maryna Vroda was born in 1982 in Ukraine. She graduated in directing from the Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Kary University of Theater, Cinematography and Television. In 2011 her short film Cross-Country won Cannes Palme d’Or. In 2010 Vroda took part in the Berlinale Talent Campus and in 2016 she studied for a Masters at the Konrad Wolf Film University of Babelsberg. Her other short films include Family Portrait (2006), The Rain (2007), Snails (2014), Penguin (2015) and The Oath (2017). Stepne (2023) is her feature debut.
