About the Film

As Covid spreads during the first wave, many horror stories unfold in India - some of them in the inglorious send offs. Based on true events, 251 is the touching story of a son who is asked to come over to a makeshift crematorium to bid his dead mother the final goodbye. What unfolds is a heart wrenching saga of human endurance and the never ending trauma that we all went through.

Bauddhayan Mukherji, also known as 'Buddy,' is a Mumbai-based, national award-winning Indian filmmaker. He co-founded Little Lamb Films in 2007 with his wife Monalisa and is a trailblazer in Indian advertising filmmaking, directing over 400 TVCs for major brands. His acclaimed indie films Teenkahon (2014, Bengali) and The Violin Player (2016, Hindi) have earned international recognition at 85+ film festivals across five continents. His upcoming projects include Marichjhapi and The Bookkeeper's Wife.
