Shaddad’s graduation film, which he shot at the Deutsche Hochschule für Filmkunst Potsdam-Babelsberg (now: Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF), is a treatise on racism. Shot in a forest in Brandenburg, it uses a Western look to portray the hunt for a Black man.

Ibrahim Shaddad

Ibrahim Shaddad is a Sudanese filmmaker and writer and Theatrical director. He studied Theater, Cinema and Film Production in Germany, France, and Canada. He served as president of several Sudanese cinema organizations and unions. His films have won numerous awards at international film festivals. Fourteen of his films, both cinematic, television, and theatrical, have been censored by successive Sudanese governments.
