People crossed the vast desert terrain, embarking on foot or undertaking long journeys by car and truck. Al Mahatta, delves into the poignant encounters that unfolded at one of the major crossroads connecting Sudan's capital, Khartoum, in the heart of the country, to the bustling port city of Port Sudan on the Red Sea.
